Shamballa Jewels are known for their iconic jewellery uniting the Far East and the North in extravagant creations of diamonds, precious stones and 18K gold. The “Star of Shamballa logo”, adorns every design. This recurring motif is supposed to remind the wearer to live a purposeful life as the four directions of the star represent – love, joy, compassion and wisdom.
This season Shamballa presents The Spirit of Shamballa Campaign. Danish actor, Pilou Asbæk, known for his roles in Game of Thrones, R, Ben-Hur, Ghost in the Shell and many more, is the star of the campaign. Pilou was chosen as his Scandinavian heritage fits well with Shamballa Jewels Nordic roots. But also because Shamballa wishes to remind us where they come from and where it all started – namely with the iconic bracelets for Men.
The picture above is the first off five diverse, yet cohesive universes, all part of The Spirit of Shamballa Campaign. The additional images are released during 2017 and 2018. The vision of the campaign is to showcase the label’s values as well as inviting the viewer into its world of fine jewellery.
Pilou Asbæk is manifested as a symbol of the humanity. The colourful, draped garments and artistic expression of the campaign represent the higher purpose and philosophy of Shamballa Jewels. The painterly aesthetic is a trademark of the two international photographers Sarah Cooper and Nina Gorfer, who shot the campaign in the Stockholm. The two Swedish photo artists created the campaign with an emphasis on Samballa’s aspiration to provide experiences out of the ordinary, beyond pure luxury. Art itself is about discovering such experiences and in Shamballa’s Campaign, the viewer is taken on an endless journey of wanting to explore more, as each of the campaign images holds more treasures than observed at first sight.
The campaign was launched at a beautiful event in Shamballa’s Flagship store in Copenhagen, where both the founders and starring model Pilou Asbæk participated. We were there as well to take a closer look at all the treasures and inspiring campaign.
